- Is your website visually appealing and is the layout of the site easy to follow? A cluttered site with poor images will reflect poorly on you. Take the time to purchase images and have a site designed with clean colors and images that reflect your brand.
- Is the content on your site current? Remove any outdated material or products and services you no longer offer. Update blog posts, or remove the date on your posts all together.
- Does your website speak to the problems and desires of the visitor? Look at the text of your site, and update the information to speak to your visitors in your own unique voice. Don’t try and tackle every problem your visitor may be having. Speak to their top one or two problems on your home page and give them the understanding that you can help them.
- Do your visitors trust you and your business? People do business with those they know, like and trust. An easy way to create trust with your visitors is by showing testimonials. Create a system where you are collecting testimonials from current and past customers. Show testimonials on your site with photos of the actual person, and of course video testimonials are always great too.
- Are you giving your visitors value? Creating value with great content that is easily accessible and is full of your knowledge is a wonderful gift that you can give. If you are in business you have some type of knowledge, be willing to share that knowledge for FREE and your business will expand. Give them free “how to” videos, create a special report or audio that they can download. This will give you the opportunity to collect their email address and continue to share your knowledge with them in the future.
